Jesus Ambassadors

Called to be Jesus Ambassadors

All believers are called to be Ambassadors for Christ.  An ambassador is someone who represents a group or individual.  Jesus came to this earth in the form of a baby born to a virgin (Luke 1:26-38; Luke 2:1-21), performed many miracles (see "Life of Jesus" section), was crucified (John 19:1-27), died/buried (John 19: 28-42), and resurrected (John 20 )!  Because we believe this we are given the responsibility to be Christ's Ambassadors in this world and to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).

This responsibility comes with knowing our Lord.  If we claim that He is our savior but do not spend time in The Word, prayer, fellowship with other believers, and any other act that sharpens our understanding of Jesus, we are not living a life as dedicated to Christ.  BUT, that isn't all....after growing our knowledge and in a loving relationship with our savior we have to be prepared to talk to others about our faith.

THAT IS WHAT AMBASSADORS DO!

This website was created to help ambassadors grow in knowledge and have verses and resources available as they go out into the world.  It is a living, breathing, growing document.  Bookmark it, copy from it, use the resources, share it.  This was created for YOU!

So, go out and tell the world about Jesus!  Preach from the mountaintops!  Share to your family, friends, or anyone you see!  You now represent Jesus in ALL YOU DO!

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.  Do everything in love." (1 Corinthians 16: 13-14)

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
